The cannons assigned to horse artillery units usually fire relatively small calibre rounds although, as always, the weight of shot is used to designate different horse artillery types. The weight of fire is considered to be less important than the speed with which it can be moved to a firing position, deployed, and then removed to a new site.

The AI can auto fire it very low and close, but often times I cannot fire once they get halfway to the army. When in co-op, we like to give control of artillery to one another for better firing, but this limitation is really annoying as it also prevents so sniping into combat that the older TW seemed to allow.
